Tom brings over 15 years of employee benefits experience to Susan E. Crocker, Inc. Human Resources Consulting. Tom has an extensive third-party administrator background with health plans being a particular discipline and passion. Offering a consultative approach to a diverse cross-section of clients including health care facilities, high-tech firms, manufacturers and non-profit organizations, Tom strives to exceed the expectations of his clients through advocacy, education and uncompromising service.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Union University in Tennessee and is a licensed South Carolina Life and Health Insurance Agent.
Starting his career in 1991 as a medical claims analyst, Tom was promoted to Account Management working with groups ranging from 200 to 2500 lives.
Tom’s most recent experience as an Account Executive, is over a six-year period where he negotiated renewals with insurance carriers while ensuring innovative and practical solutions were applied. Additionally, his career includes implementation of wellness programs, the creation of benefit brochures, coordination and implementation of annual enrollments and proposal analysis.
In August 2009, Tom began employment with Susan E. Crocker, Inc. Human Resources Consulting as a Benefits Consultant. Tom handles client renewal contract negotiations, plan design analysis, financial analysis and client budget reports.
